Buying Equipment
How do I buy a used excavator or tractor from ClassTrucks Poland as an international buyer?
Browse our inventory of used construction and agricultural machinery, then send an enquiry through the listing page, by email or on WhatsApp with your destination country. We confirm availability and current condition, send extra photos or a live walkaround video on request, and issue a proforma invoice covering the machine and any agreed services such as inspection, loading and shipping. Once payment clears, we prepare export documents and dispatch. Most transactions complete within 5–15 business days from first enquiry to loading, depending on inspection and shipping schedules.
Are the engine hours and condition descriptions on listings accurate?
Every machine we own is checked by our technical team before listing, and hour meter readings are cross-referenced against service records and telematics data where available. Brokered machines are verified with the seller and flagged if any information cannot be independently confirmed. If a machine arrives materially different from its verified description, our terms give you documented recourse — which is why we encourage a pre-purchase inspection on every high-value unit.
Can I visit Poland to view a machine before I pay?
Yes, and we encourage it for purchases above €50,000. Viewings at our Rawa Mazowiecka yard or at partner locations across Poland and the EU are arranged by appointment within 2–4 business days. If you cannot travel, we offer live video inspections over WhatsApp and independent third-party inspection reports as alternatives.
Do you offer a warranty on second-hand heavy machinery?
Used machines are generally sold in documented "as inspected" condition rather than with a manufacturer-style warranty — this is standard across the used heavy equipment trade. However, we disclose all known defects in writing before sale, provide inspection reports where commissioned, and can quote optional third-party extended coverage on selected late-model machines. Any specific warranty or guarantee we agree is stated explicitly on your invoice.
How do I know a machine is not stolen or under finance?
Before any sale we verify serial numbers against manufacturer records and check for finance encumbrances and theft registers in the machine’s country of origin. Export machines receive a clean ownership declaration, and EU machines include their registration or CE documentation. If we cannot establish clean title, we do not sell the machine.
Shipping & Documents
How much does it cost to ship an excavator or tractor from Poland to Africa, the Middle East or South America?
Costs depend on machine dimensions, weight, destination port and transport mode. As a guide: a 20-tonne excavator shipped RoRo from Gdynia or Hamburg to West Africa typically ranges €3,500–€7,000; containerised compact equipment runs lower; oversized cranes on flat-rack or breakbulk run higher. We quote door-to-port or door-to-door within 24–72 hours, including loading, lashing, port handling and export customs clearance from Poland.
Which export documents do I receive with my machine?
A standard export package includes the commercial invoice, packing/specification list, EX-1 export declaration, bill of lading or CMR, and the machine’s technical documentation (CE certificate, service records and operator manual where available). We can additionally arrange certificates of origin via the chamber of commerce, pre-shipment inspection certificates (e.g. for destinations requiring SGS/Cotecna programs) and notarised or apostilled copies where your customs authority demands them.
How long does delivery take?
EU road deliveries typically arrive within 3–10 days of dispatch. Sea freight transit times: North & West Africa 2–4 weeks, Middle East 3–5 weeks, East Africa and South Asia 4–6 weeks, South America 4–7 weeks. Add 3–7 days before sailing for inland transport to port, customs formalities and vessel cut-off. We send you the tracking references as soon as the carrier confirms them.
Is my machine insured during transport?
All-risk marine cargo insurance is available on every shipment and strongly recommended — typical premiums run 0.4%–0.8% of the machine value depending on destination and transport mode. Cover runs door-to-port or door-to-door as quoted, includes General Average contribution, and claims are handled through an established Polish underwriter. If you decline insurance, this is noted on the invoice and the machine travels at carrier liability limits only, which rarely cover the full value of heavy equipment.
Can you deliver to a landlocked country?
Yes. We regularly quote multimodal routes combining sea freight with onward road or rail transport — for example via Mombasa for Uganda and Rwanda, via Dar es Salaam for Zambia, via Tema for Burkina Faso, or via Poti for the Caucasus and Central Asia. Transit bond and corridor documentation are included in the quotation.
Payments & VAT
What payment methods do you accept for used machinery?
Bank transfer (SWIFT/SEPA) to our verified Polish corporate account is the standard method, always in the name of ClassTrucks Poland sp. z o.o. — never a personal account. For higher-value transactions we support documentary collections and letters of credit from recognised banks, and staged payments tied to inspection and dispatch milestones. We do not accept cryptocurrency or cash for export transactions.
Is VAT charged on used equipment exports from Poland?
Exports outside the EU are zero-rated for Polish VAT once we hold proof of export (the confirmed EX-1/IE-599 message). EU business buyers with a valid VIES-registered VAT number are invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism at 0% Polish VAT. Buyers without a valid EU VAT number and domestic Polish sales are charged 23% VAT. Your proforma invoice always states the applicable treatment before you pay.
Do you require a deposit, and is it refundable?
To reserve a machine we typically ask for a 10% deposit against the proforma invoice; the machine is then withdrawn from sale for the agreed reservation period (usually 7–14 days). The deposit is fully refundable if a commissioned pre-purchase inspection reveals material defects that were not disclosed in the listing. If you simply change your mind after reservation, refund terms follow the conditions stated on the proforma — always read them before paying.
How can I verify that a payment request genuinely comes from ClassTrucks Poland?
Our invoices always carry our legal details — KRS 0000623355, NIP 8351606502, registered office Mszczonowska 35, 96-200 Rawa Mazowiecka — and our bank account is confirmed on Poland’s official VAT whitelist. If you ever receive an email asking to change bank details mid-transaction, stop and verify on WhatsApp at +48 22 219 51 57 before sending funds. We never change account details by email alone.
Selling & Dealers
How quickly can you buy my construction or farm machine?
For machines that fit our stock profile we usually issue a direct purchase offer within 48 hours of receiving photos, serial number, hours and service history. Once terms are agreed, payment is made on collection after a brief verification check — sellers are typically paid within 3–7 business days of first contact. Machines outside our direct-buy profile can be brokered to our international buyer network instead.
What is the difference between a direct sale and brokerage?
In a direct sale we buy the machine ourselves: you get certainty and immediate payment, at a wholesale price. In brokerage we market the machine to our buyer network on your behalf: you typically achieve a higher final price, but the timeline depends on demand and you pay an agreed success fee only when the machine sells. We recommend the route honestly based on your machine and urgency.
How does a dealer become a Verified Dealer on the platform?
Dealers apply with company registration documents, trading references and sample inventory. We verify legal registration, check trading history and references, and review listing accuracy over an initial cooperation period. Verified status is maintained through accurate listings, responsive communication and clean transaction records — and can be withdrawn if standards slip. See the Verified Dealers page for full criteria.
